In recent developments, food Influencer Opeyemi Farmakin has taken to social media to lament over the current prices of things.
Sharing a picture of the noodle brand Indomie as well as some eggs, he lamented how one piece of Indomie was now being sold for 550 Naira. He further disclosed how he had gotten two, which were now priced at 1,100 Naira.
In his words, he says,
“The last Indomie I might buy this year, not because Indomie is bad or anything, but 515 Naira for one super pack? My mind no fit touch ground if I use 550 take buy one Indomie. Those two noodles are 1,100. Two super packs for 1,100. Nigerian government una do this one ooo”
Now, also recall that back in November of 2023, Opeyemi Farmakin had urged Nigerian men to reconsider their marriage choices and go for partners who were in the same financial bracket with them. He pointed out how there was a trend in Nigerian society where a lot of men were marrying down.
He further revealed that a lot of women were never married down and it was time for men to also go with that approach. He shared a personal story from his upbringing as he recounted how growing up he watched both his parents both earn money which they used in raising him. He stated how it was a balanced environment.
He further expressed how most wealthy and well known families tend to marry within their own financial class and it was time for all men to practice the same thing.
