Weeks ago, Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey also known as Hilda Baci, achieved a 100-hour record time of marathon cooking.

The 26-year-old Nigerian chef began on Thursday 11 May and continued through to Monday 15 May, cooking over 100 pots of food during her four-day kitchen stint.

Supporters at the cook-a-thon competition, which took place at the Amore Gardens, Lekki, shared videos of themselves cheering the young chef as well as celebrating her for achieving the milestone.

Following this certification, after the 100th hour, Hilda has now displaced the current world record holder, Lata Tondon, an Indian chef who achieved the feat in 2019 with 87 hours 45 minutes record uninterrupted cooking.
