Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, has said he doesn’t plan to run for any other political office once he completes his second tenure.
He stated this on Friday, January 19 while commenting on the Supreme Court ruling in his favour over the March 18 governorship election which was being challenged by Peoples Democratic Party’s David Ombugadu.
Speaking during an interview on Channels TV programme, Politics Today, Sule said he has no dream of becoming president, senator or house of representatives member.
The governor vowed not to contest for senate seat when his tenure as governor ends in 2027, after he must have finished his eight years in office.
He said; “I came in only to be a governor. I did not come in to be a chairman, a senator or a member of the House of Representatives. I don’t have any dreams for those offices.
“I have no dream of becoming even president. I have no dreams for that. I can tell you categorically that Abdullahi Sule would not go for Senate after leaving office. By the time I finish my eight years, I can do whatever I want to do.
“You can take it from me confidently that I have no intention to run for the office of a senator. You can keep this tape and play it one day.”
