“After God, money is everything” – Blessing Osom

Well known Nigerian entrepreneur, Blessing Osom better known as Lady Golfer has stated that that money occupies the next place in this world after God.

Money, which is believed to be the root of all evil comes as a double-edged sword as the lack and abundance of money has its own consequences. The temptations and envy associated with money cannot be overemphasized as some close siblings have killed their loved ones over money.

According to Blessing Osom who happens to have a lot of experience with dealing with people, money is the second thing in the world after God comes first. She explained that there is definitely a reason why she made the statement.

Taking to her Instagram page, She wrote: “After God, Money is everything sha. E get why.”

Even if we part ways with the North, I still don’t want a country of Igbo people only – Speed Darlington

While Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB members continue their fight for Biafra, musician Speed Darlington has stated that he does not want to be a part of a country dominated by Igbos.

The musician claimed it during an Instagram conversation with a user who warned him against criticizing Nnamdi Kanu.

Remember how Speed Darlington bristled at IPOB members’ repeated sit-at-home orders a few days ago? He believes the policy has harmed people in the Southeast, who are forced to close their businesses on the day the instruction is released.

Speed Darlington, in response to an IG user who warned him not to criticize Kanu, said that Nigeria’s diversity is what makes it exciting and that he doesn’t want a country where only one or two languages are spoken.

See their exchange below;

Earlier, Speed Darlington, a singer criticized the sit-at-home order of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB.

The secessionist organization had ordered inhabitants of the South east to stay at home on Thursday, October 21, because the group’s leader, Nnamdi Kanu, was to be prosecuted before a Federal High Court in Abuja. The sit-at-home order was obeyed in all states in the region.

Speed Darlington, in response to this event, said it was a bad move because Nigeria’s economy is already in tatters.

”Nigeria’s economy is bad. When you do sit-at-home it makes the economy even worse. Monday, sit-at-home.Today Sit-At-Home. In two days it would be a Sunday…another shop closing making it three times within seven days. one dollar eequals N530.

We say the economy is bad. Imagine when we are busy sitting at home. How are we going to make money? When people come out they get shot at, people get their hands cut off, cars get burnt. Insecurity has ruined Eastern region. Economy is in shambles. ”

“Is there something people can learn from you as a celebrity?” – Angela Okorie asks her colleagues

Actress cum musician Angela Okoire has asked her colleague celebrities a few questions as to whether there is something that people can really learn from them.

Most people take celebrities as their role models and try to learn one or two from them in order to shape their lives and Angela Okorie shares her thoughts about that asked her colleagues as a celeb, is there something people can really learn from them.

According to Angela Okorie, if people take you as their role model they emulate some things from them hence Angela Okorie asked her colleagues to weigh into their lives and see if there’s something worth emulating in them.

Adding that as a celebrity, is there something in you that people who look up to you can actually learn or emulate from you, or do they just have to learn all the bad things some of them are showing us online and not being careful with their words too?

Some people might say celebrities are human or kids who look up to them should learn the good things they can over but as we all know these celebrities influence us easily with their actions and words hence most people turn to copy blindly.

Therefore, Angela Okorie is right because as a celebrity you naturally influence those who look up to you and they also copy so blindly because of the love they have hence there must be something that people can actually learn from you.

Never re-friend a person who tried to destroyed your character – Yemi Alade cautions

Singer Yemi Alade has cautioned that one shouldn’t be friends with people who have destroyed their relationship, money, and things in their lives anymore.

Yemi Alade in a previous post said she’s losing friends and she’s protecting her peace and now has advised that we shouldn’t re-friend someone or people who have destroyed our character, money, or even relationship anymore.

According to Yemi Alade, a snake only sheds its skin to become a bigger snake hence if you don’t want to be a victim to their new color, never re-friend those who tried to destroy your character, your money, and your relationship in any way.

Yemi Alade used how a snake sheds its skin to stand for people who change their attitude for a moment or pretend to have changed after trying to destroy your life in one way or the other saying they haven’t changed but just shed their skin.

Yemi Alade is right as it’s not wise and advisable to re-friend people who tried to destroy you or even succeeded in destroying you one way or the other since you can never tell what they have up in their sleeves this time around.

Such people are referred to as green snakes under green grass as it’s very difficult for an individual to read them or know exactly what they are up to but they always turn out to be poisonous with their bite and that destroys the life of the victim.

Our universities can’t withstand another strike – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has told the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to always embrace dialogue instead of going on strikes.

In his address during the 36th Convocation Ceremony of the University of Ilorin on Saturday October 23, the President who was represented by the Prof Ignatius Onimawo, said Nigerian universities can’t afford another strike considering the time it had lost to Coronavirus pandemic.

Buhari stated that no one gains from crisis and government alone cannot solve all challenges facing the society.

He said;

“Let me also use this opportunity to appeal to members of the academic staff of our universities to embrace peace.

“They should realise that dialogue is always better than conflict. No one gains from crisis. While government alone cannot solve all challenges facing a society, this administration is willing to listen to complaints and alternative points of views to managing a situation.

“The university system cannot withstand any crisis now considering the time it had lost to Coronavirus pandemic.”

The President also stated that universities have a role to play in the efforts at combating the Coronavirus pandemic.

Buhari added;

“I expect our universities to conduct researches targeted at discovering an antidote to it. Universities are expected to focus their research on challenges facing our societies and find practical solutions within the context of national development.

“I therefore challenge the Universities to give their best in the fight against this common and unrelenting enemy of humanity. I enjoin our researchers to collaborate among themselves and look forward to bringing an effective solution to this medical challenge.

“The nation expects University of Ilorin to play a leading role in the research efforts to develop Covid 19 in Nigeria.

“The nation expects nothing less from the Nigerian University system.”

Mention the lawmaker financing Ighoho – Lawyer challenges Malami

Counsel to Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Igboho, Yomi Aliiyu, has dismissed claims made by the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, that Igboho is being sponsored by an unnamed National Assembly member.

Recall that on Friday, October 22, Malami at a press conference alleged that Igboho is being financed by a member of the National Assembly. He however did not mention the name of the lawmaker.

In a statement released by his lawyer, Yomi Alliyu, Igboho challenged Malami to mention the lawmaker sponsoring him and also questioned the attempt to link Igboho with a Bureau de change operator, Abdullahi Umar, linked with Boko Haram financing.

Aliiyu’s statement in part reads

“The picture the AGF wanted to paint is that our client is being financed by Abdullah Umar, allegedly involved in terrorist financing. Who is now financing who?

Does it mean that anybody buying a car from him or selling a car to him is a terrorist? I challenge the Hon AGF to mention the lawmaker that sent money to Chief Sunday Adeyemo for terrorist act whether he would not be damnified in exemplary damages for defamation”

Members of the Pan Yoruba Group, Afenifere, have also dismissed Malami’s claim. In a statement signed by its Secretary-General, Chief Sola Ebiseni, the group said the latest claims made by Malami indicated that the Federal Government is hell-bent on destroying Ighoho.

‘Social distancing’ – Reactions as Chioma and Davido reunite for their son’s birthday party (Videos)

A video of award-winning singer, David Adeleke popularly called Davido striking a pose with her third baby mama, Chioma Rowland, and their cute son, Ifeanyi Adeleke has caused a stir on social media.

Davido and Chioma reunited for Ifeanyi’s post-birthday party after earlier failing to show up for their son’s birthday party which Chioma organized for the boy on October 20.

Davido could not attend the party because he was out of the country but after his arrival, he decided to organize another party to celebrate Ifeanyi on his birthday.

The two former lovebirds decided to take snaps with their adorable baby but it appeared there was some sort of friction between them as Chioma’s face looked unhappy and it was as if they were being forced to take the picture.

Her facial expression depicted one who is only feigning happiness but deep within she was not happy. Others laughed over the photoshoot session as they claimed the two celebrities observed social distance whilst taking the photos.
