Manchester City were beaten 3-1 by Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday night, according to Daily Post Nigeria. It was the third consecutive loss for Enzo Maresca's side.
Forest start fast
The hosts made a brilliant start and scored twice inside the opening 20 minutes. Jair Cunha capitalised on a defensive error to make it 1-0. Liam Delap then raced through and finished high into the net to double the lead.
City's brief response
At the start of the second half, City threatened a comeback when Rayan Cherki scored with a stunning finish. Delap, however, added a third for Forest from a swift counter-attack to settle the match.
Title race implications
The result means City will go into the November international break six points behind Arsenal, who now lead the table by that margin, the report said.
