Lagos Fashion Week held its 2026 edition from Wednesday, 28 October, to Sunday, 1 November. The main runway shows took place in the event's tents at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, according to the organiser's official Instagram account, with off-site presentations on the final day.
The theme was "Crafted". Speaking to Semafor before the shows, Omoyemi Akerele, the founder of Lagos Fashion Week, said the main challenge for African fashion is infrastructure rather than creativity.
Thursday's runway programme included shows by Hertunba, Cute Saint, Christie Brown, Cynthia Abila and Nkwo, according to Marie Claire Nigeria's round-up of the day.
After the shows, the organiser's official Instagram account highlighted collections from labels including Desirée Iyama, Imad Eduso, Abiola Olusola, Ibilola Ogundipe and Fiu Negru. It described Desirée Iyama's presentation as bringing "colour, texture and movement" to the runway.
The final day's schedule listed off-site shows by Iamisigo, Oriré, Gozel Green, Andrea Iyamah, Emmy Kasbit and Lisa Folawiyo.
Daytime programming included the Fashion Business Series of talks and Fashion Lab sessions. The organiser's website also promotes its Green Access 2026 programme and the Woven Threads VII digital showcase.
