Nigerian Afropop singer, Adekunle Kosoko professionally known as Adekunle Gold, has replied a fan who expressed desire to see his wife, Simisola “Simi” Kosoko break his heart and leave him.
He was talking about his song, ‘Damn Delilah’ and revealed that it is a true-life story involving him and a girl he was dating before meeting Simi.
According to Adekunle, he did not know that the girl was in a relationship with another guy until he received a warning message to stay away from her.
He tried calling her phone number but discovered that she had blocked him everywhere and that experience is what inspired the song ‘Damn Delilah’.
The singer wrote; “You people, I have told the story many times. Anyways, I was in a relationship with a girl that had a boyfriend ( I didn’t know). Me I don fall, but the babe dey play me.
Long story short, one Saturday morning, I got a threat call from a random guy saying I should back off, I should never speak to his woman again. I called the babe immediately, she don block me everywhere. Lol. I got so heartbroken and made Damn Delilah.”
In reaction, a man known on Twitter as Reynald said he needs Simi to leave him with a broken heart because he knows that the song which will follow will be a hit.
“I need simi to break your heart Cus the song that comes after will definitely bang,” the tweep wrote.
Adekunle Gold quoted the post and reshared a meme of Yoruba actor, Bolaji Amusan saying; “You are seriously mad and you have no one to tell you.”
