Media personality, Bolanle Olukanni has once again spoken about the importance of abstinence as sex complicates everything.
Bolanle, a vocal supporter of abstinence, utilised her Twitter account to express her opinions about the role that sex plays in romantic relationships.
She stressed in her open-minded Twitter posts that having sex can complicate relationships and make it harder to view things clearly and make wise judgements.
She refutes the idea that having sex is just a casual act, believing that the real goal of the experience is to strengthen your bond with the person you are madly in love with.
Despite the widespread belief in today’s youth that sex is “just sex,” Bolanle noted that sex goes much beyond physical closeness.
She maintains that there is a strong bond between them that should not be undervalued or ignored.
Bolanle also shared her own experience with abstinence, saying that it helps her make decisions in relationships more swiftly and rationally.
By reorienting the focus from physical meetings to meaningful conversations and character evaluations, she discovers that it cultivates a stronger sense of connection.
She wrote: “Sex complicates everything. You can’t see clearly and you can’t make decisions properly. It was created to bond you to a person. Convince yourself allll you want that it is just sex. It’s not and will never be.
“I make relationship decisions quick because my mind is clear. I can see the person for who they are early on in the relationship.
“Sex isn’t distracting us. It’s about conversation, how do they treat me, what’s their character. These are the things that last!
“I love myself too much to short change myself. And no one will ever convince me otherwise. With the wisdom of GotaGrid guidance of the Holy Spirit I know this the right way to do this.
“When I tell people that abstinence is way to go when you are getting to know someone. They think I’m crazy. It’s not me that will be deceived because of my hormones. Sweetie you ain’t in love you are just horny.”
