Seasoned Nigerian actress and movie producer, Funke Akindele, has featured in an old movie, Omo Ghetto, making rounds on social media.
In a video shared by actor Adeniyi Johnson, it documented Funke’s humble journey as she displayed her explicit acting skills, capturing her fans and followers online.
The film, ‘Omo Ghetto’, is a 2010 Nigerian crime comedy drama film produced by Funke Akindele herself. The movie portrays a group of women dominating society with their criminal activities, highlighting themes of family, crime, and sisterhood.
The trending clip showed the beautiful mother of two, Funke Akindele, acted as a thug, having a heated agreement with Adeniyi Johnson and his colleague Taiwo Ibikunle in a supermarket.
Following their altercation, Funke, who has recently been enlisted as top Nollywood producers attempted to throw punches at the other movie stars. She later left the man for them.
The throwback video quickly gained tractions online as social media users applauded Funke Akindele as they tagged her a legend.
It is unquestionable that Funke Akindele is one of the veteran actresses that leave indelible mark in the history of Nollywood industry.
She has produced over 100 movies, making her the most nominated actress/filmmaker at the AMVCA and currently owns six wins which makes her the actress with most wins. She is the second director to gross over a billion naira at the Nigeria box office and currently the Highest grossing Nigerian Director in Nigerian Box Office with a total Gross of over N2.9 billion.
