“The moment you get paid for serving God, his blessings stop” – Pastor David Ibiyeomie

Pastor David Ibiyeomie, the founder of Salvation ministries , recently revealed during a sermon on the pulpit that people who serve God actively should not demand any benefits, especially monetary.

He revealed that if you’re a Christian serving God and you’re getting paid for it, God’s blessings will stop because you’re not supposed to serve God with money attached to it.

He further gave an example using a drummer who plays in the church, disclosing that if you’re playing the drum and you’re hoping that you’ll get paid for playing drum, then the blessing that you’re supposed to get from it automatically stops.

However, netizens took to the comment section to counter his statements, with some people claiming that even Nigerian pastors get paid monthly salaries.

Now recall that just a few days ago, Pastor Adebayo, RCCG pastor, had made a controversial remark that also sets the tomgues of netizens wagging. In a recent sermon, he expressed while praying for his congregation, that they would have their colleagues as well as their family members come to them for help. He also prayed over them stating that they will be established in a position where they will be the ones helping out while their colleagues and family come to them.

However, some netizens found the prayer to be misguided, as they remarked that it is a prayer that, while it may look beneficial, might also be seeking for the downfall of others.

Recall that some months ago, Pastor Adebayo revealed how he was going to die. He stated that he was going to die after eating a warm food of Pounded Yam soup. His statement upset a lot of his followers as well as netizens, who revealed that he should not have disclosed such intimate detail.
