Famous Canadian rapper and singer Drake in a video circulating on social media sends a message to Davido after he loses his 3 nominations at the 66th Grammy Awards.
Recall Tontrends reported that the prestigious Award ceremony was held at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles., United States on Sunday, February 4th 2024.
However, it resulted in a poor outing for Nigerian singers as Davido, Burna Boy, Asake, Ayra Starr and Olamide all lost out of the Grammy in their combined 10 nominations across different award categories.
Reacting to Davido and other losing their Grammy Awards last night, Drake, a Grammy Award Winner tells the nominated artistes that they are heroes already adding that the Grammy Award is not a fact.
He noted that the Grammy Awards show is an opinion of a group of people whose names were kept a secret.
Drake further hails the artistes for being incredible in their craft while stating that having regular workers coming out in the rain and snow to buy their tickets is already a win for them.
In his words; “All you incredible artists remember this show isn’t the facts, it’s just the opinion of a group of people [whose] name are kept a secret (literally you can Google it). Congrats to anybody winning anything for hip hop but this show doesn’t dictate shit in our world.”
