A Nigerian man, Oyerinde Muhammad-Hadi Folarin, who is serving his fatherland as a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, has lamented online as he revealed that his Primary Place of Assignment (PPA) gives him N2,000 as monthly stipend.
Folarin took to the micro-blogging platform, X page, with the screenshots, showing the salary he received at the month of January.
Despite being a first class graduate of Health Education in University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), he was not free from the reality of the NYSC scheme.
While the federal government gives their corps members N33,000 monthly, the young man revealed that his private PPA in Abuja pays him N2000 every end of the months.
According to Folarin, he would have discontinued the NYSC scheme if he didn’t have the intention of working a 9-5 job.
Sharing a screenshot of his credit alert, he wrote, “If I post a screenshot of how much I’m paid monthly where my PPA attached me to, this timeline would go bonkers.”
“If not for prospects of being a 9-5 worker, this scheme is highly unnecessary.”
