Nigerian singer Skales has shared a story about a trip to Yola, claiming that Burna Boy asked Davido for space on his private jet so he could get to a show in the Adamawa State capital. According to Daily Post Nigeria, Skales told the story while speaking about a performance where he and Burna Boy were both booked.
What Skales said happened
Skales said Burna Boy phoned Davido to ask if he could travel with Davido's team, and that Davido agreed. In Skales' account, the aircraft was already full, so Davido reportedly asked a member of his team to travel the following day instead.
Daily Post Nigeria quoted him as saying: “Burna called Davido and said, ‘Please, can I join their jet?’ Davido said, ‘Why not?’”
Skales also described how cramped the flight was. He said there was so little room that someone had to sit on the toilet seat. He added that Davido gave up his own seat for him during the journey, according to Daily Post Nigeria.
From Yola to Major Lazer
Skales further said that after the group landed in Yola, he performed alongside Burna Boy. He said that experience eventually connected him to Major Lazer, the act he later made music with.
Neither Burna Boy nor Davido is quoted in the available reports, and there is no indication in the sources that either has responded to Skales' account. The details, including the date of the show and the seating arrangement, have not been independently confirmed.
