The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reduced the pump price of petrol at some of its retail outlets in Abuja, according to a market survey by Daily Post Nigeria on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.
The survey found that NNPCL stations in Abuja and its environs now sell petrol at N1,325 per litre. Before the change, the price ranged from N1,370 to N1,405 per litre. That works out to a reduction of between N45 and N80 per litre.
According to the publication, the new price is already in force at NNPCL outlets in Gwarimpa and along the Kubwa Expressway in the Federal Capital Territory.
Attendant confirms the adjustment
A fuel attendant at one of the NNPCL stations in Abuja, who asked not to be named, confirmed the change to the newspaper. She said: "The fuel price was adjusted downward this afternoon."
Follows Dangote Refinery's price cut
Daily Post reported that the move came barely two days after it had written that filling stations nationwide, NNPCL outlets included, were expected to lower prices following the Dangote Refinery's latest gantry price cut. The refinery had brought its petrol gantry price down to N1,215 per litre.
The report does not say whether NNPCL outlets outside Abuja have adopted the new price, nor has the company issued a statement in the source material explaining the reduction.
