A Nigerian woman, Stella Gbadeyan, has told how her phone repair technician, Solomon Segun, went from fixing her handset to asking for her hand in marriage. The couple has now announced that they are preparing for their wedding, according to a report by GistLover published on November 5, 2026.
A proposal from a near stranger
By Stella's account, the relationship began when Solomon, who was working on her phone, asked her to become his wife even though he barely knew her. She says she was angry and stunned by how direct he was, and she insisted she could never marry someone who was almost a stranger and also her service provider.
She shared the story alongside the pre-wedding announcement. In her words: "It all started from being my phone engineer to ‘please be my wife’. So straight and direct, not even like let’s be friends like most relationships start with 😂. At first, I was so mad at him, that how will you tell a customer, a mere stranger to be your wife? Guess my response 🫣… ‘I can’t be your wife and will never marry you.’"
How she changed her mind
Solomon did not back down, according to the report. Stella describes him as someone who knew what he wanted and kept at it. She wrote: "He was so intentional, knew what he wanted, and went for it, so persistent because he knew it was part of God’s plan."
Although he was not her ideal type at first, his character and determination slowly shifted how she saw him. She says she prayed over the matter and then began to develop feelings. She wrote: "I prayed about it and I started falling for him 🫣🫣… not my spec like I do tell my roommate, start changing to, the guy is nice, he’s not bad 😂😂😂."
Wedding on the way
Stella said she is happy with the choice they made. She wrote: "I’m so glad we made the right decision ✅ And am so happy to walk this path with him 😍. As God will have it, we’ll soon be saying ‘I DO’ to forever ✅. Join us to celebrate this special day of our lives 💃🏼"
The story has drawn attention online, mostly because an ordinary customer and technician meeting ended up as a path to marriage. The wedding date and venue were not given in the report.
