Israel DMW, who works as Davido's logistics manager, has responded to socialite and activist VeryDarkMan (VDM), who explained on Thursday why his friendship with the singer broke down. According to Kemi Filani News, Israel says his boss was not involved in the troubles Naira Marley faced.
What VDM said
Per the report, VDM said his disagreements with Davido, Zlatan and others grew out of the opposing sides they took during the campaign for justice for the late singer Mohbad. He recounted that he and Davido became friends in 2014.
VDM reportedly claimed the relationship shifted after he got hold of a WhatsApp group conversation in 2025. He said it allegedly showed that some people close to Davido had been part of efforts that led to his own arrest in 2024. He said he called Davido several times for a response and received none. He added that he later saw a blog post suggesting he wanted to record Davido's conversation and use it against him. These claims have not been independently confirmed.
