A new betting platform, ChampBet, opened for business on Friday, 6 November 2026, at champbet.ng. It combines a sportsbook with an online casino, and describes itself as West Africa's first lifestyle betting brand. All details here come from the company's own launch announcement, published by Pulse Nigeria.
Licences and what the platform offers
According to the announcement, ChampBet holds a licence from the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority. It also carries a Universal Reciprocity Gaming Permit issued by the Federation of State Gaming Regulators of Nigeria (FSGRN). These regulatory claims are the company's own and were not checked against any regulator's records in the material available.
On the sports side, the company says the front page puts the football Nigerians follow most at the centre: the Premier League, the Champions League and the NPFL. The casino section is said to hold over 18,000 titles supplied by upward of 130 studios, plus live dealer tables streamed in real time. The look is black and gold, designed to feel like a premium seat.
There is also a loyalty scheme called the Champions Club, with five ranks. Rewards range from weekly cashback of up to 10% at the lower end to perks the company says happen away from the screen. The announcement does not spell out the qualifying conditions for each rank.
Launch weekend in Lagos
The brand is marking its debut with a three-day programme in Lagos. It begins on Friday, 6 November, at Zaza Lagos and BOHO Lagos, and ends on Sunday, 8 November, at LuLu Beach Club.
The marketing pitch is built around a typical Nigerian night: kick-off at eight, a dinner reservation at ten, and a bet placed in between. ChampBet says it is made for the top 1% and people working their way up to that level.
What the company says
An unnamed ChampBet spokesperson explained the thinking behind the brand in the launch statement: "Nigerians don’t do anything halfway. We follow our football with real intensity, we take our style and our nights out seriously, and we bring the same energy to the games we play. That person never had a betting brand of their own. Now they do."
The spokesperson added: "ChampBet is for the ones who have made it and the ones who are about to. All in is about how you live, not how much you stake. This weekend we’re taking that to three of the best nights out in Lagos. Game recognises game."
As with all betting products, the offering is aimed at adults, and readers should treat the launch claims as promotional statements from the operator rather than independently verified facts.
