The race for this year's BON Awards is officially on. Love and New Notes, The Herd and Colours of Fire lead the 2026 nominations, according to a report by Premium Times.
The nominations list was released by the organisers ahead of the 2026 ceremony, which the report says will hold in Enugu, the South-East city that has a long connection with Nigerian film production.
Who else is in the running
Beyond the three front-runners, the list features productions competing in acting, directing and technical categories, as well as the major film categories, Premium Times reported.
The report does not state how many nominations each of the leading films received, nor does it give the date of the Enugu ceremony. Those details, along with the full list of nominees by category, have not been confirmed from the available source.
For Nollywood fans, the spotlight now shifts to Enugu, where the winners will be unveiled when the ceremony holds.
