EPL: Mikel Arteta takes decision on leaving Arsenal to become PSG manager

Mikel Arteta, the Arsenal manager, was approached by French football giants, Paris Saint-Germain to become their new manager.

But RMC reports that Arteta has rebuffed their approach.

The Ligue 1 champions are looking for a new man in the dugout, after they dismissed Christophe Galtier earlier this month.

Galtier replaced Mauricio Pochettino last summer and has lasted only one season at the Parc des Princes.

During his time with PSG, Galtier won the Ligue 1 title but just by one point and were dumped out of the Champions League in the last 16 by Bayern Munich.

Julian Nagelsmann looked on the brink of being appointed, but the former Bayern boss, who has also recently rejected approaches from Chelsea and Spurs, is understood to no longer be interested in the role.

PSG’s sporting director, Luis Campos, will now speak to other candidates as the new season approaches.
