$94,600 Down Payment: Davido’s response to Amaju Pinnick’s allegations triggers mixed reactions

Singer Davido subtly fired back at Amaju Pinnick, the former President of the Nigeria Football Federation, after Pinnick accused him of refusing to perform at an event in Warri, Delta State, despite receiving over $94,600.

Pinnick publicly called out the singer during the 19th edition of ‘Warri Again,’ revealing that the organizers even chartered a private jet for $18,000 for the ‘Unavailable Crooner,’ but Davido never appeared.

As a result, the organizers had to find a replacement artist, Shallipopi.

Pinnick went further to warn that he would teach Davido a lesson and remarked that Davido was displaying arrogance, despite not being a bigger artist than Burna Boy, who is partly Itsekiri (Warri).

In what appears like a shade on the former boss of the Glass House; NFF headquarters, Davido wrote via his X handle, “Throwing stones but u dey live for glass house.”

In another post, Davido bragged that nobody could stop him from performing anywhere in Nigeria, assuring his fans in Warri that he would be in their city soon.

“Nobody can stop me from performing anywhere in Nigeria… Warri I will see you soon,” he wrote.

He also posted a picture of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, logo with the caption; “Make I no talk.”

Some fans, after stumbling upon his tweets shared by Instagram blog, really gave the music star a piece of their mind for not showing an ounce of remorse over letting down his fans in Warri. They were quick to point out that he didn’t even touch upon the allegations but chose to poke fun at Pinnick.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the fence, as expected, some fans rallied to the singer’s defense, arguing that he must have had a card up his sleeve for missing the show. To them, this music star is practically a golden goose, and in their eyes, he can do no wrong.
