Reactions have trailed the news of President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu gearing up to move to Abuja as he begins to receive presidential treatment.
Tontrends reported that The Independent National Electoral Commission declared the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, the president-elect.
Tinubu, a former Lagos State governor, was declared the president-elect after the 70-year-old polled 8,794,726 votes to win the 2023 presidential election.
INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, announced Tinubu as the winner at the International Collation Centre in Abuja during the early hours of Wednesday, 1st March.
Tinubu won the election ahead of other contenders — the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Atiku Abubakar; the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi; and the New Nigeria Peoples Party candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
In what is considered a swift action by the electoral body, the certificate of return was presented to Tinubu and his running mate Kashim Shettima at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Tinubu set to move to FCT, Abuja
Barely twenty-four hours after he was declared winner, Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be moving to the Defence Guest House in Maitama District of Abuja and functioning there until he is sworn in as President on May 29, 2023.
The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council disclosed the next move of the president-elect move in a tweet which reads: “The President-elect will be moving into Defence House, in Maitama, FCT, where he will spend the next couple of months, and from where he will move into the Presidential Villa”.

Nigerians have reacted to the news of Tinubu moving to Abuja with lots of questions. According to many of them, the mind of the president-elect is not at rest. Others questioned why he is rushing to move if he is confident of his victory.
