Your contributions will be remembered – Celebrities, fans mourn actor, Sisi Quadri

Following the death of Nigerian actor, Oyebamiji Tolani Quadri, popularly known as ‘Sisi Quadri, who passed away on Friday, March 1, celebrities and fans have continued to mourn the thespian.

The 44-year-old Osun-born thespian reportedly experienced persistent hiccups from a kidney ailment in his hometown of Iwo, Osun State.

He had his primary and secondary education in Ore, Ondo State, before his journey into the movie industry, where he joined a theatre group led by Toyin Olaiya, in his native Iwo, Osun State.

Sisi Quadri, known for his insultive personality in movies and skits, had his breakthrough in 2004 in the epic Yoruba movie, ‘Seranko Seniyan’. His meteoric rise came in 2020 when he released the movie ‘Ebudola’ alongside an actress, Funmi Awelewa.

His other movies include Ololade Mrs Money, Toko Taya, Big Brother Ibadan, and Lepa Gawu, among others.

Aside from acting, Sisi Quadri was a trained fashion designer and, at different times, expressed his love for the craft, which he reiterated he would never leave.

He was happily married and blessed with two kids, Hazani Olamilekan, and Olamide Oyebamiji. In October 2020, he completed his house.

Quadri’s passing occurred just a year after he lost his mother on February 22, 2023.

Actress Abiola Adebayo, wrote on her Instagram page, “You will be greatly missed, Sisi Quadri. May your soul rest in perfect peace. May God comfort all of your loved ones.”

Kunle Afolayan wrote, Sad!Sad!Sad! I’m not sure of what to say or how to deal with this! There is a saying that “T’ibi t’ire la da Ile aye” This is just so shocking … May your soul rest in peace Quadri”
