Former lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has reacted to the indefinite leave announcement made by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.
On Saturday, September 7, Ngelale posted on his Facebook page that he had informed the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, of his intention to proceed on an indefinite leave of absence.
He said he stepped down from his position as the spokesperson for President Bola Tinubu to attend to health matters involving his nuclear family.
“On Friday, I submitted a memo to the Chief of Staff to the President informing my office that I am proceeding on an indefinite leave of absence to frontally deal with medical matters presently affecting my immediate, nuclear family,” the statement read in part.
Reacting, Sani, the former federal lawmaker, who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly, wrote on X: “Ajuri can now rest well, sleep well, eat well, switch off his phone and even add some weight.”
Ngelale was appointed as the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity on August 1, 2023.
