WWDC 2019: Apple’s iOS 13 will include an all system Dark Mode

Apple introduces its dark theme mode

Apple iOS 13 is getting a system-wide dark mode, the company announced today at its Worldwide Developers Conference in San Jose. This confirms an earlier leak, the all new dark mode can also be turned on or off from the settings or through the new Control Center.

Once this is enabled, Dark mode will change the Home screen dock colour, background colour of iOS screens and other built-in apps such as Apple Music, Notes, Photos, Music, and so much more.

Meanwhile, Apple iOS developers can now customise their own apps to Dark Mode by way of SwiftUI which is Apple’s newly announced framework also announced today.

Apple isn’t the first to launch a system-wide dark mode, Google also introduces Dark Theme for Android Q which will work across its mobile and first-party apps.
