WHO Has Called For ‘The Continued Suspension Of Football’ Until The End Of Next Season Amid Coronavirus Chaos

The World Health Organization has reportedly advised against football resuming prematurely, calling for all football activities to be suspended until the end of next season in 2021 at the earliest so as to avoid another wave of coronavirus.

The Global Health Authority, according to Italian paper La Repubblca – put forward the idea through a conference call to the European Football Governing Body – UEFA, preferring that all games to be suspended until 18 months time.

WHO in suggesting what should be the right step to follow, are more concerned about the safety of those involved and causing a second wave of the pandemic.

WHO’s advise of suspension of football until the summer of 2021 at the earliest, if taken, would further plunge a vast number of clubs into financial instability due to the lack of match day revenue
