Wendy Williams Shades Beyoncé And Hubby Jay-Z For Sitting During National Anthem

The 2020 Super Bowl halftime was an amazing time for fans in and out of America. Viewers got to see the likes of Demi Lovato, Shakira and Jennifer Lopez perform amazingly on stage and the game itself was amazing.

While the show was going on, tabloids were filled with reports about the event and the people who attended and this helped fans outside America keep up with what was happening at the game.

It was no doubt a swell time for everyone to watch and support their teams at the game.

While some fans cannot stop talking about the beautiful performances of the event,
Wendy Williams is not sparing anyone on her show, especially Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

At the beginning of the event, Demi Lovato came on stage to give a powerful rendition of the National Anthem, and everyone was on their feet except Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

It is no news that Williams is a big fan of the couple, but she could not leave out the fact that the duo did not respect the National Anthem.

“I don’t know about you, and our country may be in a bad way, but there’s no place ai’d rather live than in America.” Williams said.

Williams noted that Jay-Z’s record label known as ROC Nation recently signed a deal with NFL, so she had no idea why he would not be on his feet while the anthem was going on. The deal was to ensure that there would be enough diverse acts happening at the Super Bowl and everyone was excited when the deal pulled through in August 2018.

Williams was definitely not keep a closed-mouth in this issue as she separately called out the couple. Speaking to Jay she said that he may be the owner of NFL, but that does not mean he owns NFL. Wha she really meant was, he may be a partner, but he does not own NFL.

She also reacted to Beyoncé saying that the singer should have known that all eyes were on her at the event, and she should have done better.
