After a number of appearances in other superhero films, Natasha Romanoff who is better known as Black Widow finally has her own stand-alone superhero film.
Marvel on Tuesday released the first trailer of “Black Widow” which features American actress and singer Scarlett Johansson.
Johansson made her debut appearance as Romanoff in Iron Man 2. Johansson then reprised the role in The Avengers (2012), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018) Captain Marvel (in a brief mid-credits appearance) and in Avengers: Endgame (2019).
The superhero film is set after the events of “Captain America: Civil War” and finds Natasha alone and forced to confront her past.
The release of “Black Widow” will kick off Marvel Phase 4, a group of American superhero films and television series produced by Marvel Studios based on characters that appear in publications by Marvel Comics.
“Black Widow” will hit theatres on May 1, 2020.
