These days, throwing shade on social media is at one’s own risk.
Unlike before, when personalities, celebrities and public figures saved face and maintained decorum even when provoked, many today come to social media battle ready.
On Sunday February 2, the daughter of Nigeria’s Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Kanyinsola Osinbajo had posted a short video of herself on Instagram without makeup and with ‘glowing’ skin.
Kanyin, popularly called Kiki had captioned the post “Even skin is even skin we glow different. No makeup brown skin girl glow…”
She went on to advertise a product from her skin care line, Konyin Skincare as the secret to her glow.
In usual social media fashion, a troll came out of the woodworks. With Instagram handle @chrisbliss01, he commented, “Chop our money.”
Without much ado, Kiki responded saying “facing your front will make you successful.”
Evidently, the daughter of Nigeria’s number two citizen did not come to social media to play.
An entrepreneur, Kiki, who studied Law with Management at Aston Business School is the founder and CEO of two companies, Glam’d Africa and Konyin Skincare.
In other news, the younger daughter of the Vice President earlier on Sunday had joined millions of Nigerians to thank God for the life of her father who survived, unhurt a helicopter crash in Kogi State exactly a year ago.
