Mr Joseph Aloba, father of late Nigerian singer, Mohbad, has spoken on why he insisted a paternity test on his grandson, Liam Light.
He revealed in a recent interview that Liam was not named by Mohbad but his wife, Wunmi Aloba.
According to the clergyman and singer, he wanted to name his grandson Victor only for Wunmi to give Liam, which triggered his suspicion surrounding the birth of the 1-year-old boy.
Since Mohbad died on 12 September 2023 and was first buried in Ikorodu, Lagos State, his family got embroiled in an ongoing dispute regarding his assets and undergoing a DNA test on Liam.
It was reported that Mr Aloba is delaying the singer’s reburial until a paternity test is examined. It is worth noting that the Lagos state court has ordered Wunmi to carry out a DNA test on Liam.
In a recent interview, he revealed that he suspected the birth of Mohbad’s son because Liam is a Muslim name not Christian.
In his words, “My son did not give him Liam. I wanted to give him Victor, they said no, they gave him Liam. And it’s Muslim that bear Liam not Christian. That was when I suspected that the boy’s Placenta that they did not give me during his birth was given to the real father of the child”.

He married his wife after finding out they were expecting and doesn’t want the baby mama tag on the love of his life. Baba agba leave your son’s widow alone and go get a freaking life!!”

It is a diminutive of the British name William, meaning “helmet of will” or “protection.” Liam also points to a “strong-willed warrior,” so baby can hope to embody courage and determination as they flourish! Liam is popular in Ireland and the UK”.
