Social media critic Martins Otse, also known as Verydarkman (VDM), has responded to allegations made by former BBNaija housemate, Deeone about him being gay.
Deeone in a recent appearance on Nedu’s ‘Honest Bunch’ podcast claimed that VDM was not straight, sparking a heated discussions on social media.
In reaction to this, VDM shared a video on his Instagram page where he extensively treated the issue.
He expressed his unwillingness to take legal action against Deeone, stating that he is a “street boy” and prefers to handle the situation by himself.
VDM subsequently turned his attention to Nedu, the host of the Honest Bunch podcast where Deeone made the allegations.
VDM claims that Nedu has been trying to get him to appear on the podcast since 2024 and even offered to buy him a car if he agreed.
VDM shared screenshots of his WhatsApp conversations with Nedu, which appeared to show Nedu’s attempts to force a friendship with him.
VDM also alleged that Nedu’s podcast is more focused on generating views and revenue from YouTube than on discussing serious issues that affect Nigerians.
He claimed that many influencers who appear on the podcast are either paid to do so or pay Nedu to be featured.
VDM stated that Nedu’s motives for having Deeone on the podcast and allowing him to make the gay allegation was basically a strategy to get back at him.
The activist expressed his disappointment with Nedu’s actions, adding that Nedu had been trying to get close to him, but he had rebuffed his advances.
Sharing the post, VDM wrote:
