Emmanuel Nyabam, a courageous survivor of sexual violence, has openly recounted his harrowing experiences of molestation and rape.
He disclosed that his ordeal began in childhood when a family member abused him. The stigma and shame associated with male victims of sexual assault prevented Nyabam from discussing this traumatic event.
Unfortunately, Nyabam’s suffering did not cease there. Several years later, he faced another violation at the hands of his landlord’s daughter. The emotional toll of these incidents significantly affected Nyabam’s life.
While pursuing his studies at university, Nyabam’s trust was again shattered when a group of female students lured him into their room. Under the threat of a firearm, they coerced him into sexual acts. This appalling incident deepened the emotional wounds he had already endured.
Speaking in a video shared by NTA, While I was in the university, a bunch of girls lured me into their room and at gunpoint did what they wanted to do with me. It is a closed system, boys and even men don’t talk”
