A man identified as Habibu Haruna has been handed a life sentence after being found guilty of rape by Justice Musa Ubale of Jigawa State high court sitting in Birnin Kudu.
The 25-year-old resident of Basirka town, Gwaram Local Government Area of the state, reportedly lured a 14-year-old girl to his wife’s room, forcibly covered her mouth and had carnal knowledge of her.
The prosecutor presented five witnesses and three exhibits to prove the case beyond reasonable doubt.
Another man identified as Muhammad Musa Danzuga, 61, of Auyakawa village, Gwaram LGA was also handed life imprisonment for sodomising a 13-year-old boy of the same address.
Justice Musa Ubale who found the convict guilty of the offence after the prosecution counsel presented five witnesses and three exhibits to prove the case against him, sentenced him to life imprisonment.
