The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu has ordered the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), DIG Michael Ogbizi to immediately take over the ongoing investigation into the alleged case of rape.

This followed an alert by Timi Dakolo whose wife, Busola had accused the Senior Pastor of Commonwealth of Zion, COZA, Biodun Fatoyinbo of rape, where he claimed that some strange men attempted to invade his residence with guns on Saturday.

Dakolo, in a post on his Instagram page raised the alarm on how Pastor Fatoyinbo allegedly bribed officials investigating the alleged rape case and consistently harassed his family.

However the Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, in a statement on Monday said the order was necessary to ensure a speedy, thorough, fair and impartial investigation into the case of rape reported by Mrs. Busola Dakolo against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, COZA.

The statement reads, “In a bid to ensure a speedy, thorough, fair and impartial investigation into the case of rape reported by Mrs Busola Dakolo against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), the Inspector–General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), DIG Michael Ogbizi, fdc to immediately take-over the on-going investigations.
