Famous Nigerian actress and plus-size model, Monalisa Stephen, has said she’s learnt to be less controversial and a bit more courteous.
The delectable influencer said she lives and speaks her truth, but many people see it as her intentional seeking attention through controversies.
Speaking in an interview with Saturday Beats, Monalisa said she does not like to be in the news for wrong reasons but she has no regrets about her past statements. she also stated that there is time for everything, and if it’s one’s time, no one can change that.
The model emphasised that people receive honest opinions or revelations like they’ve been hit with a bullet, so she’s learnt that it is not every information that should be released.
Monalisa said; “I never thought that living my truth could be controversial. I believe in saying things the way I see it. I am a realist, and I don’t like to deceive myself. It is not my intention to be in the news for the wrong reasons, So far I am saying my truth, I have no regrets.
“The lessons I have learnt is that a lot of people shy away from the truth. When one says the truth, it hits them like a bullet. Such people might not have the emotional capacity to control their feelings. Everybody is expected to have their own opinions. However, I have learnt to be a bit courteous, and know that it’s not all information one should release to the public.”
When asked about her plans for the year, the curvy actress said; “2024 is my year. I am a workaholic, and I will keep putting in the work. I believe there is time for everything, and if it’s one’s time, no one can change that.”
