“The biggest album” – Wizkid brags as Morayo achieves 48Million streams in 6 days, breaks South African Tyla’s record

Grammy Award winner Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun professionally known as Wizkid has taken to social media to react has his album Morayo continued to shatter records on streaming platforms.

Recall that Wizkid releases his sixth studio album Morayo on Friday, November 22nd, 2024 and by extension the album has garnered over 48millions streams in just six days.

However, Wizkid has set a new record of the most streamed album by an African artiste on Spotify for its first week with Morayo which consists of 16 tracks embedded in it.

This achievement has broken the previous record held by South Africa’s Tyla, at 46.4 million streams in a week.

Also, 1 Week after release, Wizkid’s “Morayo” occupies the Top 16 Spots on Apple Music NG Top Songs Charts, which makes it the first album to achieve the fit.

Reacting to the new records set by his album, Wizkid via his official page on X today declared his Morayo album as the biggest album ever in Africa. He speaks about his forthcoming tour as well as coming to Lagos in December.
