Dr. Daniel Olukoya, General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), has warned against believers becoming overly dependent on pastors and prophets for miracles.
In a recent sermon focusing on spiritual power, he urged Christians to seek a genuine relationship with God rather than falling into exploitative practices.
Dr. Olukoya lamented that some women, in their desperation to solve life’s problems, have turned themselves into sexual slaves for pastors and prophets. He expressed concern over this growing trend, stating, “There is no point in a believer becoming a slave to any pastor or prophet.”
The preacher further criticized the behavior of some men who allow prophets and prophetesses to dominate their decisions, often disregarding the opinions of their own families. “Some women because they want to solve their problems of turn themselves to sexual slave of the Pastor and prophet,” he said.
“Anything the prophet says goes; they don’t care about what their families say,” he remarked, highlighting how misplaced spiritual reliance has led to broken homes and distorted priorities.
Dr. Olukoya reminded his audience that God resides in those who possess a contrite and humble spirit. He emphasized that believers must demonstrate the power of God in their lives instead of succumbing to manipulations or spiritual exploitation.
“More than ever, we need the power of God in our lives. You cannot allow the enemy to hold your life,” he urged.
Dr. Olukoya encouraged his listeners to embrace a life of spiritual empowerment, noting that God is seeking individuals who will boldly demonstrate His power in today’s troubled world.
He concluded by calling on Christians to rise above fear and dependency, declaring that a strong connection with God and His power is essential for overcoming life’s challenges and defeating the enemy.
