Linus Williams, popularly known as BLord, extends his gratitude to the EFCC, revealing how the publicity surrounding his arrest boosted his popularity.
The young man made this clear in an interview with a social media journalist, @stevenndukwu, who shared the video to his TikTok page.
BLord revealed how he was woken up one morning by 4 am with a loud bang outside his door, by some men who stated they were EFCC officials.
He was taken to their station where his phones and laptops were searched on the ground that he was a fraudster.
He was found innocent but they still refused to release him and instead detained and requested that their Abuja office call before they could let him go.
Although he admitted that their cell was not so bad, it was still draining and that was when he realized how much freedom was important.
After so much pleading and begging, he was released after 10 days and upon his release, he burst into tears.
Despite his innocence, they refused to release his seized properties, giving him only one and taking away the other two.
This led to long legal battle between him and the EFCC and he came out victorious, getting back all his properties.
