Scarlett Johansson recently revealed that she has had a 20 year-long fantasy of being a Disney princess. Although in “The Jungle Book,” she played the voice of Kaa, the python, one wonders why, with her talent, would a Disney princess be the holy grail for her career.

You can take a look at the various parts she’s played and get an idea of her versatility. You can sample some of the movies she’s done and get an idea of her acting ability.

She was voted as the “World’s Most Natural Beauty” according to a UK poll (2011), followed by a dozen “most beautiful” or “most sexy” awards. It is certainly an asset having good looks (and she does), but sometimes that can actually get in the way. For example, she auditioned for the role of Lisbeth Salander in “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” (2011). However, she did not get the role because she was considered too attractive. Too short, too tall, too fat, too thin – these are some of the thinsg Hollywood talent has to deal with from time to time.

Scarlett has been a part of the Black Widow films, which is something she is well know for in recent times. However, when you get in your time machine and head into the past, you might find a few gems that escape recent memory.

A most notable example is the 2005 film, “The Island.” She plays opposite Ewan McGregor as perfect human clones trying to escape from a facility run by a very evil company. No, not Microsoft or Amazon. This is a futuristic thriller about a contained, seemingly utopian facility in the mid-21st century. The residents hope to be chosen to go to the Island – the last uncontaminated place on Earth, but when McGregor’s character discovers that there are sinister forces at work, he and “Jordan Two Delta” (Scarlett Johansson) make a daring escape to the “outside world.”
