Releasing prisoners is the reason for Christian Atsu’s death – John Paintsil

Recently, a video from Crime Check TV revealed how a 64-year-old man called Isaac Odoom received a 12-month prison term for squatting in the abandoned home of former Black Stars footballer John Paintsil.

He said in the video what caused him to spend the night at the mentioned residence.

In an interview with Crime Check TV GH, the elderly man who was serving a 12-month prison sentence at Winneba Local Prison revealed that he was in the charcoal-producing and charcoal-selling industries.

He continued by saying that on that fatal day, he had traveled from his house in Ajumako to Besease for business. Regrettably, it became late, and because he was unable to return home, a friend gave him a ride.

He recalls entering the house with his companion through the window but did not detect any foul play as it was vacant and abandoned. He only understood the next day that the residence he had spent the night in belonged to Paintsil.

After Ibrahim Kwarteng phoned John Painstil to check on the guy’s accusations, the former Black Stars player voiced his unhappiness over the former’s effort to liberate the man.

According to John Painstil, people must pay for the crimes they have committed by completing their whole jail term.
