France-based show promoter, Romaric Boso, has cried foul over the decision of the French embassy in Nigeria to deny visa to top musician, Adekunle Temitope aka Small Doctor.
The founder of ‘One Benin Fiesta’ who ranted on social media, said Small Doctor was due to perform in France as part of his Europe Tour.
According to Boso, however, the French embassy denied the superstar singer visa on the suspicion that he would not return if his application is approved.
Boso described the ground for the visa rejection as ”laughable”, saying that apart from being a household name in France, the headline artiste, Small Doctor is a renowned entertainer in the African entertainment scene.
He argued that there there was no basis for any suspicions about ‘Penalty’ hit-maker and others returning to their base after the show.
He said the One Benin Fiesta show initially scheduled for July 6, 2024, has been shifted to August as a result of the difficulty in securing visa for the artistes billed to perform.
Boso also said that despite his reputation as one of the registered show promoters in France, he’s having difficulties getting visas for artistes.
Providing relevant documents to back up his claims, the show promoter said that he followed due process and did everything that was required by the French embassy in Nigeria.
