Presidential Tribunal: I’ll follow the case till I recover our mandate – Obi vows

The Labour Party, (LP) Presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi has vowed to follow the legal root to reclaim the people’s mandate.

The former governor of Anambra State said he will explore every option and follow it to its logical conclusion in court.

Obi gave the reassurance during an LP stakeholders’ meeting in Awka, the Anambra state capital.

President-elect, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was declared winner of the February 25 presidential election, defeating Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in 2nd and Peter Obi who came third.

The LP flagbearer in a post on his Twitter page, said the meeting with stakeholders was constructive and part of the topic of discussion was taking the party forward.

Obi wrote: “Earlier, I interacted with the Anambra State Labour Party Stakeholders in Awka. The meeting was quite animated and constructive. Part of our discussions centred on the way forward for the party.

“I reassured them of my readiness to go all the way, explore every available legal option to ensure that we get our mandate back. I appreciated all their support so far, as I assured them of mine. PO.”
