Presidency reacts to Burna Boy, Davido’s Grammy nominations

The Presidency has extended warm congratulations to several renowned musicians who secured nominations for the upcoming 66th annual Grammy Awards.

Notable among them are the Afrobeat giants Burna Boy and Davido, along with rising stars Asake, Olamide, and Ayra Starr.

The Grammy spotlight shines brightly on Burna Boy, who secured total of four nominations.

Davido joins the ranks of Grammy-nominated artists with an outstanding three nominations, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Asake, the Afrobeats singer, received a well-deserved nomination. Additionally, the acclaimed rapper Olamide and the talented songstress Ayra Starr each earned a nomination.

In response to this achievement, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, conveyed heartfelt congratulations to the accomplished Nigerian artistes.

Taking to Twitter, Onanuga expressed his delight.

He wrote;

“Congratulations to Nigerian singers Davido, Burna Boy, Asake/Olamide, Ayra Starr for their nominations in the 66th Grammy Awards scheduled for Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.”
