CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, has reacted to a viral video of some police officers crushing a man with their patrol bus in Ekpoma, Edo state.
Although the date when the incident occurred is yet to be ascertained, the video shows the victim’s hand and leg tied as he was made to lie on the floor.
Residents of the area were engaging the officers when the officer who was driving the bus, moved and climbed the victim. He stopped driving after the residents repeatedly yelled that the victim was under the car.
Reacting to the viral video, Adejobi said the actions by the police officers were ‘unpolice’ and added that he never believed any human being could do such a think.
‘’This is unpolice. I dont think a normal human being can do this. To crush a man with a car? This is unbelievable. I have personally contacted the CP Edo on this. We need to take urgent action on the matter. It’s strange to me as a person.”
