A group of policemen have been captured on tape assaulting a young man in Delta state over alleged bride.
The motorist had been stopped at a checkpoint and reported refused to give them N100 mandatory pass fee, and it infuriated the uniformed men.
In a trending video, they could be seen using baton and other weapons to hit the man as other people watched helplessly.
The policemen had collected his car documents and removed his plate number, so he approached them to return it but they took as a confrontation.
He initially tried to resist the policemen’s attempt to beat him up but they overpowered him because they were more in number.
Also, although the policemen were armed with rifle, the clip captured one of them bringing out a knife from its pouch.
It was leant that they also issued death threats to the yet-to-be identified victim for refusing to give in to their demand.
