The Nigeria Police Force has dismissed an officer who fatally shot Alafuro Peterside in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, in the presence of his family.
The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Nwonyi Emeka, confirmed the dismissal and mentioned that the officer has been arraigned in court for justice.
Additionally, the CP paraded seven police personnel involved in unprofessional conduct exposed by a TikTok user who was defrauded.
He emphasized the commitment to address such misconduct within the police force and urged victims of police brutality and extortion to report to his office instead of resorting to social media, which tarnishes the reputation of the entire police force for the actions of a few.
