Popular Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable has set some tongues wagging online following his recent reactions to the arrest of controversial crossdresser, Bobrisky.
The Federal High Court in Lagos, on Friday, sentenced Bobrisky to six months in jail without an option of fine for naira abuse.
The judge, Abimbola Awogboro, imposed the sentence after the controversial crossdresser pleaded guilty to the alleged offences. This This followed his earlier arrest by the Economic and Financial Crime, EFCC.
Since the arrest of Bobrisky, many Nigerians on social media platforms have tagged the EFCC in various posts of video clips capturing apparently worse cases of naira abuse by other celebrities.
However, Portable, known for his philanthropical activities, begged his fans in a video as he put a stop to spraying Naira notes on the street.
According to the ‘Zazuu Zeh’ crooner, he showered money on his lovers because of protection. However, he will cease to practice throwing Naira on the floor.
Portable, then, resorted to transferring money to his fans via bank accounts, stating that he fears the Government officials.
In his words, “After God na Government, Please forgive me if you have videos of me spraying money, no more spraying of money”.
His post triggered massive reactions as social media users shared their thoughts via comment section.
