Muhuyi Magaji, the embattled Chairman of the Kano State Anti-Corruption and Public Complaints Commission has opened up that he’s being pushed to investigate the current governor of the state, Abba Yusuf.
He said this on Tuesday.
Magaji said he started probing the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, when he was governor of Kano State.
He stated this while fielding questions on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily programme on Tuesday.
Magaji said though he was appointed by Ganduje to head the agency, he won’t hesitate to prosecute alleged corruption by the immediate-past administration in the state.
“We are not desperate to prosecute Ganduje,” said the state anti-graft chairman, insisting that public officials be accountable.
When asked whether he would also probe the current governor, Magaji said, “That is what people are instigating.”
