Oni of Ife honoured Woli Arole, Shagari and others

The Arole of Odua, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, recently gave awards to 100 youths leaders at Obafemi Awolowo University. The award ceremony witessed a lot stars on parade. The On I of Ice and paramount of Yoruba land said youth development remained crucial to economic prosperity.

The king who could not hid his joy over the successes recorded by the youths said he is proud of the successes being recorded by our youths despite the many challenges encountered by them in their respective field.

Among the special guest at the event is Nigeria’s minister for Youth, Mr. Sunday Dare, the Youth minister assured the awardees of his ministry’s desire to partner with the youth.

Also at the event is tne United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr Fahad AlTaffaq, the Ambassador said that the embassy had partnered with the Nigerian government in the past on youth development and capacity building and that they are still ready in continuing the partnership.

Among the awardees are Woli Arole, a popular comedian, Lateef Adedimeji, a popular Yoruba actor and movie producer, Mr. Bello Shagari, the grandson of Alhaji Sheun Shagari
