A suspected member of a notorious “One Chance” syndicate was reportedly lynched around the NYSC junction along the Kubwa expressway in Abuja.

The suspect, who arrived in a Gulf car accompanied by two others from the Dutsen-Alhaji junction, was caught by a mob after their vehicle crashed into a road barrier.

According to witnesses, the two other suspects managed to escape immediately after the collision. Muhammad Sani, a member of the United Hunters Society of Nigeria in Kubwa, reported that the two suspects fled while the third was apprehended by locals.

Sulaiman Yunusa, a security guard at a nearby fuel station, revealed that a stolen motorcycle was recovered from the scene, and shortly afterward, the mob set the suspects’ vehicle ablaze. “One Chance” activities have reportedly been on the rise along this expressway, with suspects frequently targeting trucks parked along the road at night.

The suspected robber’s body was taken to the Kubwa hospital morgue after police were notified of the incident. Attempts to reach Josephine Adeh, spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, for further comment were unsuccessful.
