Ojezua request for extension of restraining order stands declined by court


Channels Television deletes fake report, Vindicates earlier report by Tontrendsnews.

Channels TV on thursday 5th December retracted the fake report titled “Court Extends Order For Ojezua To Remain Edo APC Chairman”. The fake report have also been deleted from the Channels TV website, and all their official social media handles after being confronted with the truth. This was done to quickly correct the narrative on discovering that they were misled by the fake report from Edo State Government originating from the office of the special adviser on media to the Governor.

It is important to reiterate that journalists must be above board all the time and refrain from been influenced by any politician.

It should be noted that the earlier headline published by channels TV is false and at such they have removed it from their web site and all social media handle to avoid tarnishing their image.

Recall that Tontrends gave an update of a state high court sitting in Benin on 5th December, denying Anselm Ojezua extension of the exparte motion restraining Col. David Imuse from parading himself as Edo APC State Chairman.

Former Chairman of Edo APC Anselm Ojezua who was suspended by majority of APC Edo State executives, as at November 22nd had obtained a court order to restrain his vice Col. David Imuse from acting as Chairman, as requested by law

Anselm Ojezua’s prayer to extend the restriction of Col. David Imuse from Acting Chairman of Edo State APC was declined. The earlier news reported by Channels TV is said to be done in error and has since been deleted. As at the time of this report, it was confirmed that the news that contradicted the stand of the court had been retracted from all social media pages of Channels TV.
